As the rise of women participating in high level fitness and endurance events continues to grow, the spotlight is not only on their achievements, but also on the specific needs and unique considerations to maintain a healthy body. The increase in evidence based practice and awareness of the impact stress has on symptoms, hormones, anatomy, metabolism and overall health of the female athlete is improving our ability to influence the many factors that affect her performance.
